The PCT came into service in 1998 at the Port of Paranaguá, on the mouth of the River Paraná (Southern Brazil). Over the 16 years’ it has been operational, it has become the second largest container terminal in the country.
1.5 million TEUs handling capacity.
564 metres berthing lines (with an extra 315 metres construction).
320,000 sq. metres goods storage and handling areas.
12,000 sq. metres of indoor warehouses.
3 x 13.8 MW electric sub-stations.
2,812 power outlets for reefer containers (to be extended to 4,000).
Security area for chemical and hazardous cargoes.
Railroad terminal.
